The standard of 'care' offered by this nurse was appalling. She should not have left you exposed like that. I'm so sorry you had to go through this. I think a complaint is in order. She needs to be sent on a 'privacy and dignity' course to improve the way she treats patients. I doubt that she should even be in a caring role as these lessons should not have to be taught but should be intuitive. It's hard enough having RA and going through hospital treatment without this unnecessary stress on top. How dare she treat you like that!

I also don't think you are being OTT at all. I think sometimes nurses tend to forget how exposed people feel in situations like this as they see it all the time. But its their job to deal with patients in a sensitive way and she was clearly wrong.
I felt awkward about only taking my trousers off to do a Humira injection in my thigh in front of the nurse so she offered to get a blanket, and would have been very upset if this had happened to me.
Glad the rest of the team are understanding and hope this person was a one off.
